I recently took my car in to Bristol Street Motors and asked them to check (among other things) the shock absorbers, because the ride quality/comfort was not up to my expectations of a 59 reg car which has run 54k. They say nothing is wrong with the shocks. However, I am certain that there is something not right with the shocks and/or the coil springs, because the car sends a jolt through my spine everytime it rides over a bump or a pothole.
I want the dealership to rectify this asap because I have only just come out of the 3 month warranty that came with the purchase of the car in early October 2015.
I have had enough trouble scheduling a check on the car, and eventually had to call the head office who scheduled a check at the local garage.
Question: Whats the best way to get these dealerships to actually do something about a problem? Do I need to call the head office again?
Do I need to make a complaint?
Should the OFT (or whatever theyre called now) be informed?
Thank you for any replies,
