Keyless entry issues

My immediate thought was do what I do, lock the car but mine is keycard, not keyless.
I do know the problem having been sitting in a car park for ages waiting for 'er indoors, listening to radio, heater fan running and the battery draining.

Don't suppose giving the keys to the missus is any good?
