Intermittent Steering Problem Got Worse- Running Out of Ideas!

hi
when the tracking was done did they use a laser ramp and have diagnostic pages printed off (the best ones will give you a pretty picture of the wheels to show all the angles involved with the setup of the wheels)
the lower arms(bushes), the top mount(bush)&shock, the hub and steering rack as well as the front subframe all have an effect on steering setup.

there is also the issue of the rear suspension as the rear subframe bushes can if worn cause an effect on steering as well which is why a full 4 wheel laser ramp (not the cheaper front laser and rear reflectors just wont be good enough compared to reflectors fitted to each wheel)

i would recommend finding a local BOSCH or jaguar garage who will have the correct ramp.(these ramps cost £30k+ so most local garages simply wont have the funds to buy one and will in all probability book problem cars into anyway.)

they will be able to locate the fault that most (including renault garages wont be able to.)

i would think the problem is a bent lower arm, a bad pothole being the cause.

regarding steering issue i agree with DD that its likely a power steering module issue, either a PAS pump failing or a faulty electric motor assist or bad cable connection as its intermittent.

Currently in mord's garage:
