Yet Another fault the grand scenic has developed within just a week of owning it is that it has started crunching when going over speedbumps (the ones that span the full width of the road, not the little ones)
I've just got it back from the garage that I use, & the owner says he & 2 of his mechanics have checked everything & can not find anything wrong with it
He says its Definitely Not the springs & they are fine.
He says they have had it up on the lift/ramp & because of the weather have had to endure faces full of ice & dirty water due to this mornings weather & that it all gets trapped in the $h!t shield, so a pain when they are removed.
He says the next option is to take it back on a good dry day & see if they can find the fault. then failing that, its a matter of replacing the cheapest parts & going from there until the noise stops.
He is a good guy & Very thorough & we have used him for all 3 vehicles for the last couple of years so its unusual for him not to find the fault but I dont want to start paying for bits that dont need replaced.
Anyone had similar & then found the fault/had it correctly diagnosed??
At least that way I could tell him what the most common possibility is due to others experiences.
Thanks
Darren
