firstly i would check the battery has not just gone open circuit, rarely happens but does, i have had cars that register correct voltage before cranking and as soon as you put any load on it from starter the voltage drops to nothing.. multi meter on volts across battery get someone to push starter button see where volts end up..
once you know you have at least 12.4 volts to 12.8 volts good battery.
then i would go to the red 30amp leads that come off battery one feeds the fusebox on nearside under bonnet, these do break off of corrode. also there are big fuses on battery check them with multimeter voltage either side of them means they are fine. once you know there is voltage to this fuse box then its working out whether it fusebox or a break in wiring between fusebox and starter switch,, my money will be that fusebox and feed to it
