diagnostics readers info before buying one
i posted about a diagnostics program that i know is one of the best and great value for money. but post was removed by admin guess by me posting names of software system that i nor admin can verify as being counterfeit or not i guess they removed it to be on safe side fair enough.. i respect that.
so there are no names included cheap eobd readers out there that most do not read P-codes manufacture specific and there is the problem modern cars are all about the being able to read these codes to be able to correctly with out guessing whats wrong with them.
as a working garage non dealer will prob use a totally legal system produced by delphi (uk fully licensed only) that cost in excess of £4000 to access all the components on your car and to encode things like injectors and fuel pumps etc, but dont get confused between the other advertised equipment on line that only cost £100 ish with a similar name,
garage s have to buy this gear to prevent the unprofessional way some people try and repair cars with guess work and end up costing the customer more money by doing so.
so before you buy do your home work find out for sure it covers P-codes and whether it allows you to work on abs and airbags etc, there are systems out there that can for not much money,, also make sure it covers as many makes of cars as poss because over the years and different cars you will own or work on it will save you £60-£200 every time you scan a car compared to what a garage will charge you
