Maybe one day you will some form of screening on your TV (mobile phones already offer this). On the basis that most viruses are still being written for Microsoft applications and have to be either deliberately downloaded or packaged with software TVs have been safe so far. Android is quickly catching up as a target. Linux is still relatively safe, and Apple IOS is paranoid as usual. Why would anyone want to waste time targetting TVs and internet sound systems - these are unable to propagate a virus - other than the fact that they are there.
Mind you I have never understood the mindset of talented people who feel the need to propagate spam and distribute malware simply for the fun of it. Personal gain is only a relatively recent incentive.
