Recently the electrics on my 2008 Megane estate have been playing up. (sorry I don't know if it's megane II or III) All the problems seem to be at the rear of the car. It started a few weeks ago with the rear wiper stopping in the middle of a swipe when turned off, whereas it always used to complete its swipe. Over the weekend a few other weird things started. When turning on the ignition or the parking lights, sometimes the rear (estate tailgate) door opens. Also the rear wiper comes on/off when turning on/off the rear window heater. When it's working the rear wiper usually runs continuously, instead of intermittently as it always used to.
Presumably it's either a computer fault, or maybe wiring, could it be water on contacts somewhere, or some wires fused together? It is slightly amusing, at first, but then annoying, and could obviously be dangerous if the rear door opens unexpectedly while I am driving, so I'm now careful not to leave anything loose in the boot which might fall out if the door opens.
I haven't yet tried driving with the doors locked; I don't usually lock the doors while I'm driving, but I may experiment with this at least for the time being to see if the rear door stays safely closed. Also, I've only tried this with my own key; I do have a spare key, so I may try with that in place instead to see whether it makes any difference.
