Hi, my wife has a 2003 Megane cabriolet last of the soft top version that decided just to stop working. The immobilizer light constantly flashes and the car won`t start, the indicators, wipers/washer, reverse light, drivers window, rear screen fan and front fog lamps are all not working.
I found Fuse19 a 15amp size was blown and put a new one in, which blew as soon as i turned the key. I put a higher rated 30amp fuse in, and the immobilizer light stopped flashing and i was able to start the car. A few seconds later, while the engine was still running the immobilizer light came back on, and all of the above items were still not working.
I have heard that fuse 19 on other megane`s had failed causing similar symptoms, but this fuse controls the rear wiper motor which is normally the problem, but as hers is a rag top there is no rear wiper. I have tried disconnecting the front wiper motor, reverse switch, cleaned all under bonnet fuses and taken out the uch to check for water ingress...but still no joy, would really appreciate any help with this
