Lag2b DVD Nav "out of range"

hi, been with my 3rd lag for around 4m now, great to be back!

couple of niggly issues, nothing new - but biggest issue is the satnav. (carminat dvd).

just recently is resets off and back on again for no reason, and occasionally, "freezes" at the warning / accept screen.

the GPS logo on the main display is greyed out (and not green) and the where am I screen only shows "out of range" and no details of satellites / coordindates.

I have read on here about the fuse under the ashtray, and despite removing this - and the unit definitinly isolated, as it wouldn't power on without - it still remains intermittent and unable to log onto any satelittes.

bizarelly the 'nav still works, by virtue of modifying the current position and then the arrow tracks movements of the car. however, when the system freezes it "forgets" this manual data.

anybody any ideas - new receiver?
