I dont quite under stand the last part of your post and the way you have posted..if the mil/engine light has come on and gone off they should be a code logged on the ecu..it could be that your scanner is not picking it up..check the spark plugs/coil and leads..does yours have a coil and leads which separate or one where the leads are bonded into the coil pack ?
