Swapping a petrol engine for a diesel.

Hi, how easy (or complicated) would it be to swap my 1991 Renault Trafic 1.7 petrol engine for a 1989 Renault Trafic 2.1 diesel engine?

I have a duplicate van, well almost, my van is a 91 camper, the van I bought for spare parts is an old 89 ambulance.

By the looks of things the engine should just sit straight on the engine mounts.

But would I have to change the fuel tank, pipes and wiring loom etc..

Also the ambulance has 4x4 transmission, so I am thinking about swapping the rear axle and turning my single drive camper into a novelty 4x4 camper.

Thoughts and opinions please...
