Scenic III 2010 Drivers door odd locking

2010 Scenic expression 1.5 dci;
Locking...
park up, get out, press lock button once - all locks except drivers door. unlock - all unlocks. double press and all locks. if the drivers window was down, it goes up with the double press but not the single.
when locking (either single or double press) the indicators flash as if all is good.

Unlocking...
A single press of the unlock button on the fob unlocks everything Except drivers door. the only way is to get in the passenger side and lean over to open the drivers door from the inside.

This behavior is the same every time.
I did think to start there was a problem with the solenoid mechanism in the drivers door, but since it reliably locks with a double press, and since an open drivers window doesn't close with a single lock press, only a double press, I'm now thinking that the door isn't getting the instruction/signal to lock on a single press - only on a double press. Similarly, maybe its not getting the unlock signal/instruction.

I assume these signals telling he door when to lock/unlock come from a central 'brain' , that has somehow got mixed up.

Is there a trick to doing such a reset? or does it need a Renault specialist with the diagnostic tool to make a reset code?

My Apologies if this issue has already been covered elsewhere, but despite hours of searching I've not been able to find quite the same problem described.
thanks in anticipation...

  1. I'm having the same issue and think the lock mechanism needs to be replaced. Have you fixed yours?
