Scenic Battery and stop light un and off
Hi Guys , i have joined the forum in the hope of diagnosing a problem with my sons car. To be fair it is covered in previous posts and FAQ but no clear resolution that i can find. He has a 2003 Scenic 1.9dci and intermittently the battery and stop light come on briefly accompanied by a strange noise. I have had a quick look and belt tension and condition is fine , alternator charge rate seems ok (14.7v), there is a clutch type mechanism on the pulley below the alternator which is a bit noisy on tickover but no real noise while driving. Does this sound familiar to anybody ? thanks.
