Possible Briggs overrevving
Cub Cadet zero turn, circa 2004 maybe?
Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder engine.

I've been using my dad's cub cadet zero turn to mow for about a month now. I SWEAR it's overrevving. I've been mowing at about half throttle setting, and the RPM seems "about right," but sometimes the engine bogs just a little more than I think it should be but that might be my imagination running wild again. At full throttle, there seems to be almost no bogging. If I had a guess at full throttle to put a number to it, I'd guess it's somewhere between 4000 and 4500 RPM. Nothing crazy, but it seems to be growing worse. It also seems to get worse as the engine warms up. I had a generator with an old school single on it that did the same thing. I just endedup using it for a go kart donor, and never nailed it down.

The engine has 243 hours on it. It had maybe one oil change since new (he's bad with maintenance... I pulled the air filter today and don't know how it was even running). Engine has never had anything done to it repair wise, so it isn't like someone that shouldn't be messing with it ever has (but I might tear into it tomorrow :tango_face_wink: )

Anybody have a procedure to check/set the governor?
New to PowerKing
Looks like a great forum, especially for someone new to tractors. I have an 81 PK 2416, and have been having a lot of fun with it. I look forward to getting some great info and passing along anything new I’ve learned along the way!

Intro

A Bolens 1600 hydro eliminator and a recent purchase of an Atco 12/36

Thanks
My L110
Greetings,

I joined this forum when looking at a LX176. Well it wouldn't pull itself up the grade so I bailed on it. Bought myself a L110 that seemed like it was in good condition. It has 267 hours on it. Cranked, mowed and ran fine. Minor issues, replaced one rotten rear tire.

Then yesterday I went to crank it and was going to level the deck. It popped off perfect like every time I hit the key and then it died as if you turned the key off! I proceeded to check it out and it has gas and spark. Air filter was nasty so I replaced it and went ahead and put in a new plug. It would not offer to run at all. Every once and awhile it would act like it might go. I shot a little cleaner in it and it fired off but ran nasty like. Sounded awful.
I was not able to check compression, my hose does not fit that size.

Any ideas??? Grass is growing!!!

Thanks in advance.
Confused on year
Ok so I've had this Super Convertible for over a year and finally got around to getting it going. I'm confused about the year. The only serial number I can find is J-2871. Mid to late 60s is what it seems to be. Runs great and works like a bear.

1999 L35 – Left Boom Cylinder Leak
How difficult is it to rebuild a leaky cylinder? What is everyone’s thoughts here?
YTH22V46 stalls / has trouble starting
I've been having issues with my mower idling below high for a little while and occasional taking a while to start. I've changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and new gas (had to keep in choke to keep mower on), and recently carb cleaner. After some tinkering around I found that if I hold up the lever in in the below images it'll stay running and will idle even in low. In the images I have a small piece of card board propping up the lever. I'm a little out of my element here and am not sure what part it is or how it ties in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: Husqvarna YTH22V46, engine is Briggs and Stratton Intek Series Single Cynlinder and V-Twin Engine Model #44R677-0004-G1
