Bill
Hello, Bill from Stroudsburg PA.
Might be buying a new 1025, thoughts?
Hello all,
I'm thinking it is time to upgrade from my 1994 White GT-1855 and have been looking at the JD 1025 and the Kubota BX23S and trying to decide between the two. Pricing that I am getting is $22,260 for JD and $23,773 for Kubota. These are out of the door prices with every cent included. Still seem a little high, not sure. Includes 54" deck, Loader, Backhoe on both. The Kubota upgrades added are cutting edge on the bucket, quick connect loader, 16" Backhoe bucket, 3 point hitch.
I'm still debating between the two. I still like the pedals on the John Deere and the included toolbox, extra lights, drive over deck, the size of the tractor feels a bit bigger and it seems to be a little more comfortable in the seat and with a little more space at the cockpit area.
The Kubota, I like the quick connect on the bucket and it being universal, the quick connect on the bucket hydraulics and the backhoe, hydraulic hoses are more protected, metal hood and fenders. The backhoe seems to be better on the Kubota as well.
Those that have the new 1025, does the drive over deck quick connect actually work? Anything you don't like about the 1025?
Thanks!

John Deere Model H Series 50 Manuer Spreader
I am looking to replace the entire chain on this spreader - JD Model H series 50 ground drive. Anyone know where I can obtain one?
955 Loader, 420 Option, Will 460 loader fit
Currently have a 70A loader, have a chance to buy a 460 loader. I know a 420 will fit. Anybody fit a 460 loader on a 955?
Long time owner, new member
I bought my house in '73 and a Gravely LS (M44578) to mow the lawn. Since then most of the common attachments have come and gone, leaving only a sickle bar. The tractor is like the Energizer bunny - it just keeps going and going (with very little attention from me).
This is an awesome forum and "thanks" for it.

Elec-Trak E-15 In great shape
Barn find.
Tractor only, Model # 26AE15CB S/n # AP26879
Electric Motor Model # 5BCY56RA6 Date Code LFN 1553
Can anyone help me here with the Date Code Year made????
The worsts thing I see on this E15 is a bent up seat / battery cover. And missing the seat.
Also has a small, small leak on the trans.
Has all 4 original tires.
Tractor rolls easily.
E-motor turns easily.
Steering turn easy no play at all in steering, or in wheel bearing or the king pins.
Shifts in to all gears, all switches and leavers are free. All the wiring appears to be just fine.
No rust holes, or heavy thick corrosion. All the battery cables appear to be in place. Battery cover and hold downs are in the box. Mainly light surface rust and some paint peeling.
I really feel I could put batteries in it and go to work with it.
But not going to do that until I learn more about it. There must be some sort of procedure that should be followed after sitting for years.
I would like to here from anyone that know about the Elec-Trak E15 that can help.
I have 46 more pictures if anyone is intrested to see more.
Thanks in advance.

'05 x595 does not move forward
My neighbor went to use his '05 x595 this morning and discovered that the forward pedal does nothing, but the tractor moves fine in reverse.
He used it for some loader work and pulling a trailer yesterday and all was well. I checked for anything obvious underneath such as leaks or something caught in the hydro pedal linkage - nothing. With full throttle it will slowly inch forward, but that's it.
We did a full service on the tractor this Spring, including hydro filter & Hygard. Unfortunately his seat is stuck at the moment, so we were unable to check the fluid level.
Other than low hydro fluid, what else could cause this sudden change?

Wheel weights
Does anyone know if the wheel weights from a Troy Bilt garden tractor will fit on my Craftsman GT6000? Thanks
Upgrade!!! L4610
With FEL and Woods 3pt backhoe. This thing is an ox.
Not yet impressed with the backhoe, but that might be the too wide bucket or operator error/inexperience.
