2018 John Deere X750 questions
I will be test riding a new JD X750 next week to possibly purchase. I currently own an X300 with only 117 hrs on it. I purchased this in 2008. It’s been an excellent well cared for mower. A Centipede grass yard keeps my mowing hrs low, it’s a slow growing low maintenance yard. We cleared more property on the back side of our home and I am thinking about upgrading to the X750 garden tractor to handle the additional yard and any tilling we may do in our garden. This is quite a leap as I have never owned a diesel garden tractor. I have read a few solid reviews about the Yanmar diesel. But would like to hear from actual diesel owners.
I will be considering the 48” deck as I don’t want scalping issues with the 54” deck. I know the 48” deck is not the drive over quick detachable deck system. I just don’t think the 54” will work without scalping the yard. I cut the centipede grass right 4”.

A few questions-
Should I consider an extended warranty on top of the factory warranty?
How reliable are the X700 series diesel tractors?
Which bagging/collection system should I consider with the 48” deck? Am I limited in choice?
Is the X750 relatively easy for the home owner to maintain?
Should I consider the 4 wheel drive model vs two wheel drive? Maintenance costs higher?
Thoughts on the air suspension seat?

Sure would like to hear from current X700 series diesel owners on their owner experience with this tractor.
I am new to this forum and hope to learn as much as I can prior to considering a new X750.

Thank you in advance for any positive advice, thoughts, comments, likes or dislikes?

Please pray for my school
Good Evening.

I am requesting your prayers and well wishes for my school. We have just experienced the wrath of gun dangers. We had a student bring in a loaded .22 caliber handgun. The student is a 12 year old 7th grader. He somehow got it past th front office, and had it on his person when he was in his class. He pointed the gun at a small, 4'11, 54 year old teacher with arthritis, shoulder pain, and a bad back, and pulled the trigger. Miraculously, he failed to notice the safety clip was still on, and it failed to work. Please pray for our school and those who have been less fortunate than we were. This is the stark reality of the severity of this situation. The school is in the North Scott school district, here in Eldridge, IA. Thank you.
Old reliable needs help
The drive belt broke on my old tractor. The problem is the tag with the model number is gone. I have no idea what part number to order. Can anyone help?

Power point for a 455
I need to install a power point on my 455 to connect a strobe warning light on one of the towers on the FEL while pushing snow. A few of my driving neighbors get too close if I'm in the street moving snow at the end of my driveway. (Apologies for the long explanation).
Anyway, I'd like to install the cigarette lighter type power point somewhere on the machine and I'm looking for any ideas or info on what might be a good place to do the installation. Having the power point within arms reach while in the seat makes the most sense to me but there's always brightguys on this forum who might have some good ideas.
Thanks for considering my request.

Craftsman YTS4500 deck spindle/pulley covers wanted
I am located in Picayune, MS 39466. I am in need of the parts in the subject line. Surely someone has a pair of 'em…???
If you could buy any JD Lawn tractor
What would you buy?
I have a 1984 JD 318 that I bought used, has given me years of service.
If you know that model and it's capabilities, what newer model would match and/or exceed expectations.
Only cutting an acre but pushing a lot of snow sometimes.
Not that I will ever give up on my 318, but just wondering what everybody thinks on the newer models.
