Newbie
Hello All,
New to this so please excuse my blunders. I live in western PA. Have various cub cadets, a farmall 300 and a farmall 544.
I recently retired, so i'm trying to get caught up on many projects. So far progress seems difficult
Hope all have a good weekend. John
YTH replacement seat
Our 42" YTH seat is cracked and splitting, not too bad but could use an R&R. Also wifie complains. So who has a replacement? Preferably one with a little more cush for her.
30" rotary blade removal
So I picked up a M106 deck and decided to try to remove the blade the old fashioned way (no impact).

I placed a wooden block to hole the blade, and proceeded to try a large wrench on the nut.

Well the blade broke lose and started spinning, independent of the shaft/gearbox and the nut was still stuck. Makes sense, the center hole in the blade is a circle not a square.

So what was the magic before impact wrenches?

I assume you don't want to brace the gear box and risk damage to the gears.

Would love to have it, but got too many projects already.
Kohler Magnum MH18
I have a Duetz Allis 1918 with a Kohler Magnum Engine. The solenoid on the carb is not working and the part is discontinued . Anyone who replaced the solenoid/carburetor with a different part that matches. Please help.
Thanks S2k Duetz
hydraulic cylinder port...
Managed to knock one of the hydraulic cylinder ports off. And yep, it was under pressure when it happened. No got injured. How and why it happened doesn't matter. But...when prepping the area for reattachment I see about the brightest 'gold' ever! I ground it all off the fitting and off the cylinder body. Did not want it compromising weld. My question is...what was the 'gold' stuff? Some kind of braze? It appeared as if it were a puddled and the fitting was placed into it on the cylinder. It was not a bead, but was in place completely between the two surfaces. Any ideas? Just an inquiring mind....
X320 won't start on just battery but will jump fine
Anyone know what might be going on here? I had a one year old battery in my X320 and one day it wouldn't start. Just the typical click-click of a weak battery. Jumped it off to get the yard done. After putting the battery on the charger the same thing happened and I assumed the battery was bad. Just put in a brand new battery and the same thing is happening. Just click-click. Jumps off perfectly fine though. I'm at a loss. Is there a component that would be going out?
New 1025R for our New Property
Hey guys,

I just found this forum and I'm sure I'll be visiting often. Just bought a new JD 1025R with FEL and 60D mid deck. I'll be using it on 10+ acres of mixed woods and about 2 acres of lawn. So far I've mowed the lawn 3 times and it's a beast. My last "tractor" experience was a Cub Cadet 2066 mowing half an acre. Even before we moved I knew I needed something with hydraulics and a pto. I have two gravel driveways that need rework (600 + feet worth) and lots of underbrush to clear around the treeline. Many more property projects to come. Looking forward to putting the JD to the test!

- 52 inch quick disconnect mower deck
- Electric fuel pump added 2 years ago (was originally gravity fed) and carburetor completely rebuilt at the same time
- New Oregon kevlar deck belt 2 weeks ago
- Starter rebuilt last year
- New Oregon Gator mulching blades last year
- Newer accessory belt
- Points ignition changed to electronic module
- Newer front tires
- Newer deck bearings
- Have a tractor muffler and pipe connections to put a stack on it, just need to fabricate a bracket to keep it from vibrating.

Includes original manuals, parts diagrams, and a few spare parts.

Tractor starts and runs great and cuts excellent. Never have an issue starting after sitting over the winter. I've owned it about 5 years and am selling because I now have a zero turn so I no longer need this one.
