How bad are 3pt backhoes really?
Ive been looking for a CUT as large as 50 HP. Im looking at one on CL with a 3pt backhoe on it. Kubota L4610...not a light duty tractor. Im wanting to take out (dig around) some fair size oak stumps, up to a foot in diameter. I know a quick detach subframe backhoe is stronger, more stable, and easier on the machine, but how hard is a 3pt unit on a bigger machine? Once done with my lot clearing and trenching for the new house, backhoe use will be sparse.

6420 John deere
Hello, I have a 6420 that gives the diagnostic code 177 hydraulic oil overheating after about 2 hours of Haying or rotary cutting. We have cleaned the radiators, kept the fluids filled, and bled the radiators for airlock— to no avail (our problem is still present).
Anyone else have this problem?
Thank you.

can't find the Honda HST fluid
Well I thought about getting the Honda fluid (even though expensive) and just assume better to use what we know works. But try as I might I cannot find qts of the stuff. Only the little bottles and they're EXPENSIVE. So much so I am thinking of taking the chance with some 0-40 oil instead.

I wish my BX had....
3pt hitch position control. We have UP, DOWN, and increment UP, DOWN.
It would seem to be a nice feature to have with many rear implements, ie. rotary cutters, mowers, tillers.
I've seen videos where you have a position scale that you can move the 3pt lever against and on older tractors seem to use stops that you can set.
Anyone with experience with a larger tractor with this feature would be able to comment on its value?

1026 Pedal Linkage problems
Good morning one and all..
Ive been having an issue with my foot pedals not returning and feeling sluggish etc. Went underneath and used air compressor to blow out debris and dust from linkages etc. I noticed that there are two bearings with black plastic "supports" on two sides of one linkage. The supports plastic edges are worn away and it leaves a bunch of play in the linkages so I was thinking that may be the issue. Ive put them back into place but they've come out again. Has anyone replaced these? Im trying to find out if its a home job or time to go to the dealer to do it. Thanks in advance. Enjoy the warm while it lasts.

Johnson 10TC cylinders
Hello all,
I have a JD317 with a J 10TC that was retrofitted by a previous owner. Ive corrected some of the issues and I have a useable loader now but one of the tilt cylinders leaks because of pitting on the rod. The other cylinders dont leak as bad but do leak and all of the cylinders drift down whether the tractor is running or not.
With one cylinder being trashed and the others being 30 to 40 years old Im afraid of rebuilding the good ones and finding out that they still leak by.
Has anyone successfully found replacements that didnt require modifying the loader? Magister has some that are close but Ill still have to modify them to fit the loader.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Cheap and easy way to remove not-so-stuck drive pulley
Just when I struggling whether to buy a 3 jaw puller or not, and it is late the stores are closed, I came out with this method with easy tools I have. It worked out great! Fortunately my pulley isn't stuck much. It might not work very well on rusty and stuck pulleys.
