Maintaining Fencelines
I have a ton of fenclines to maintain and I'm doing a pretty sad job. I have 4x4 PVC posts as well as the thin 1" PVC posts. I haven't found anything that I can put on a garden tractor to keep the fenceline clean. My 54" deck does not do a good job at all. What do you do to keep your fencelines clean?

antique farm show
I thought I would share some eye candy for those that love small engines and lawn mowers. This is a very large 3 day antique farm show in central PA. you name it they have it from swap meet, food and farm equipment. This group of mowers was powered by maytag twin cylinder engines the same ones used in their washing machines from what I was told very cool.

A reel mower with the same engine

gt2542 hydro issue's
Changed the fluid in my transmission and now when I let off the "gas" it does not come to a stop like it use to. I used Rotella T5 15w40. Wishing now I had just bit the bullet and gotten CC fluid. I can tap the reverse and it will stop but if I don't it will continue a bit before it stops.

Anyone running this bagger on a 1025R? If you are please post up a review. I am thinking about adding this to my order tomorrow along with a new 1025R.
I can’t seem to locate any on line reviews.

Thank you,

Problem with 16G rear wheel hub
So, on one of my rear wheels, either I was sabotaged by the neighbor who I get along with, or Murphy's Law was in full effect. I was mowing yesterday and suddenly realized due to strange movement that 4 out of the 5 lugnuts on my rear wheel were gone and the 5th was about to fall out. This leads to 3 questions:

1st: How the hell does that happen?

2nd: Does anyone know if those lugs are commonly availible at a local hardware store, and if so, do you know what the specs are.

3rd: One of the lugnut holes on the wheel hub is partially stripped. (as in, the lug won't go in at all) Any suggestion on the best way to jury rig that? I was thinking I should just drill it out completely and use a bolt with a nut on the back side, but please tell me if this is a bad idea.
2011 Craftsman LT2000
Hello,

I know absolutely nothing about riding mowers. I found this one on craigslist, the seller wants 600.00 for it. My question is, is it worth it? Looks great, but not sure if its a good deal. The seller bought it from a local guy, but their lawn was to small and only used it once. He paid 600.00 plus 180.00 for service (has receipt). What are your thoughts? Here is the link

Thanks in advance.

New member with Honda 5518
I picked up a very cheap non running 5518, basically I wanted the rear end for a project. However I was able to get the tractor to run, but a very big rattle up front. It seems to come from where the governor is, though I was not sure so I pulled the top end and everything looked very good, valves, cam, pistons (no play), even the plugs looked good. There were some electrical issues that I was able to put back they way they should be, I’m not sure why anyone would mess with the CDI but they did - and couldn’t get the wires right. The oil was pitch black but no hint of metal in it or the filter. I’m stumped, what the noise is, much less how to approach repairs.

I’m not familiar with this particular water cooled engine, though I’ve owned Honda motorcycles for years including my vintage VF500 interceptor, but the noise is harsh and I don’t know if the engine is toast or possibly something I can repair.

I’m looking for some suggestions on what to look at, here’s a video to the tractor.
