My Clio has died at 259,300 miles
It's been a great servant but the end has come.

Broke down on the way to work a couple of days ago. Turned out to be a failed injector. Injector was £180+VAT from Renault, similar if not more from motor factors. This took the bill up to £570 with the other stuff it needed.

Decided to take a punt with a used injector from eBay which would have saved £150. Thought that made it worthwhile.

Turned out the injector was seized in the head and the it snapped leaving the bottom half in the head (probably not helped by the sea air causing extreme corrosion all round the engine bay). At this point, potential labour costs skyrocketed and that was that.
Glad now that I put off changing the cambelt, at least that gamble paid off.

Two offers from scrappies so far...£10 and £30
