Faulty reverse sensor switch Megane 1.5dci mk3

Hi to all.Hi my Renault Megane 1.5dci mk3 has a issue with reverse light with parking sensor. It is a intermittent fault I took it to garage and they cleaned the reverse light terminals about 2 months ago. But I can be driving sometime it works then 5 mins later it's not working I thought switch was faulty but I thought if switch was faulty it would not work at all. Any help would be great as not due next week thanks for reading steveo
