I did a quick check through the forum list but I didn't find the topic I was looking for (hope didn't overlook it).
I've spent countless hours trying to find a "normal" data sheet specifying the size limits of Wheels and Tyres for Clio Mk4 of 2015 so that no modifications to the car are made (except for tyre pressure sensors). My car is basically the entry level model (1,2l 75HP), and I'm aware of the 2 stock versions: 4/100 60.1 185/65/R15 and 195/55/R16. The dealer "recommended" to me this setup, and of course - the 16" Renault alloys it sells, and the warranty...
The real problem is that I found a few sites stating various options for both tyre and wheel size but I suppose those are a mix for all Mk4 versions while other sites would consider only the 2 options provided by Renault, so I was wondering if any of you know the limits for the most basic version of Clio Mk4.
Also the ET offset is another problem, as I found 44 to be the optimum one, while some wheel configurator sites (ex. alcar) provide ABE/TUV certified ET 35 solutions for 16-17" wheels on the basic Clio 4?
The last question is the about the Wheel width - are 8J (including front wheels) ok for the this super basic version of Clio, and what would be the minimum ET offset in this case?
Thank you.
