Some cv joints cant be changed but a complete shaft with cv joints can be bought at £40
thr drivers side is max 1hr to change very easy to do
the passenger side is a bit more involved as you have to drain or catch the gearbox oil good excuse to change the oil I got my shafts on ebay from a firm in Birmingham 3 cars have had them fitted with no problems also the new shafts are made so if it ever fails you can just change the cv joint but at such a good price for a complete shaft why bother

I have never done an auto box so its possible the passenger side is different than a manual box
