first remove the main plastic cover
remove the air filter if need be just unscrews on most
next disconnect the out let feed pipe
put a mark you can see for alignment this is so you dont put it all back in reverse each section you uncover make a mark before you remove
next undo the 4 bolts holding on the head do not remove then gently lift the head
once the head is off and you mark any gaskets before you remove them its easy to get them back to front
you will come to this as you can see part of the valve has snapped but if its not it may need a good clean stopping the valve from closing correctly normally cause by a broken filter
all i did was to buy a feeler gauge blade set took out a .011 blade you can try with the next lower or higher cut the blade to size insert and refit any gaskets you have removed then gently lower the head with bolts in place this helps keep all the gaskets in line
if you have kept everything in line you should be ready to go my first attempt was not perfect so i did it again i did a quick test before i refitted the cover
the last picture if you want to go further to clean the piston remove that gasket take the piston to its lower point smear a tiny amount of grease around the bore raise the piston to the top clean then lower the piston and any muck that fell down the pistons sides will be stuck to the grease
thats it as simple as that
