Engine knock 2.2dci espace 3

Hi,a bit of a strange one this,last night pulled up at some traffic lights and tickover was a bit rough,pulled off and the engine was knocking abit,pulled in the drive and tick over was all fine again.Went for a short spin this morning started fine done around 2 miles and the knock came back,pulled up tickover was fine revved engine to around 1500rpm knock came back,revs dropped to tickover no knock,to me doesnt sound like big ends.Any ideas anyone,car has full service history,oil changed every 9000 miles done 115000 miles,and no dash warning lights on.Many thanks in advance.
