I want a car that is cheap to run but can do overtakes, safe and reliable.
So I am thinking buying a clio dynamique 1.6 or 1.4 petrol under £1000 or around £650 if I can.
Cars in this price range have 100k miles or more. What do you think? Are this cars normally trouble free with this age and mileage?
I had a peugeot 206 and never had to do the tracking and wheel align, it has an amazing suspension system. So can I think all French cars are as good?
I am concerned with the fact that the seller said it changed the front coils, I think a car must take a lot of bashing to have to have the suspension coils replaced.
He also says it has ticking noise at low RPM and cambelt replaced only at 81k miles?
What do you think?

This is the other one I am looking at but didn't had a reply from the seller yet.
