Brand new (65) Clio freezing on INSIDE

Most cars have condensation on the inside of their glass in the morning in winter. If the temperature drops low enough overnight then that water will freeze, just as water in your freezer will freeze at 0 degrees and less.

You need to find the cause of the water inside the car. It will be either:

A - a leak from a seal somewhere or the heater matrix (unlikely, if it's a new car)

B - the atmosphere

You can't do much about B except take all wet things (like coats etc.) out of the car and drive with the windows down on days when armospheric humidity is low. This will allow the interior to breathe and should reduce humidity inside the car. As others have said, make sure the recirculation option is not used: you want to bring in outside air to the cabin on dry days.
