Today my 2004 1.9dCi Trafic died while driving along, the engine turned off and all electrics went dead freezing the speed/rev etc in place. I looked under the bonnet and found a fuel line had become unclipped, I put it back in and voila the lights came on and it started up first time.
A mile down the road same thing happened except this time the pipe was still in place. In the end I had to get a tow home. After a quick search online I checked a few things.
1. Found air bubbles in fuel line out of filter housing
2. Opened fuel cap and heard air either entering or escaping (guessing build up of pressure made the pipe pop off in the first place)
3. Checked battery all ok
(Disconnected for 10 mins to see if it would reset ECU)
4. Check fuses in cab all ok
Still need to check fuses under bonnet that will be my next thing tomorrow..
Can anyone point me in the right direction of what could be wrong and what would cause the pipe to blow off in the first place.
Cheers
