detached laguna III starter button

Wanted to know if a DIY fix can be made to refix / re-attach the starter button (Laguna III) which has detached off its fixing to the dash (probably stabed too hard). Still works OK but the unit is now about 1/2 inch set back behind fascia (one of three fixing points still intact). Doesn't look like it can drop out of sight (or use), or is it a garage fix?
