1.5 dci first gear/pulling away

had the 1.5 dci clio a few weeks now, compared to other manuals it doesnt feel right..

when pulling away at times its like the turbo kicks in to early and takes off, then at times the gear change between 1st and 2nd isnt smooth/sound/feel right, sounds like a learner driver lol, unless put the foot down then change to 2nd

any ideas?
