Megane-Cabriolet 2005

Morning all i have not been here for some time as my laguna has been running like a dream for many years.

i have swapped it in for a 2005 megane cabriolet 2.0 turbo and am now having a few electrical issues.
when i start the car the boot opens and the roof tries to go down, all of the windows go down and will not come back up.
i have been told this is the under bonnet fuse box /UPC my question is if i remove this and replace it with a second hand one (same part numbers) will it work? i have read you need to make sure both cars have the same alternator?
is it that simple or am i opening a bag of worms?
