AutoChanger

Hi Guys, just got a 2001 scenic. Its got the auto changer under the passenger seat. Ive pressed the green button to eject the cd holder but nothing happens. How can I check if its getting power? If i press the select button on the head unit I just get the radio. Any help much appreciated.
