Lumpy Idle / Missfiring

History

-Engine started missfiring
-Engine light started flashing
-Fitted new plugs - still missfiring
-#4 plug running rich
-I checked all the injector resistance 1,2 and 3 all the same, #4 different
-Reconnected all injectors
-Idle still rough but missfire gone
-Kept checking #4 plug- still rich
-I fitted new #4 injector and checked the plug after a few miles- looked ok
-Idle still poor but not missing
-Been ok for about 6 weeks, had MOT and all was fine
-This week it started again
-Often smells of petrol when starting
-All cylinders running at idle but very rough
-At about 2000rpm #1 #4 doing very little
-I have moved coils around and fault still with #1 and #4
-Left engine idling for 15-20 mins
-There's a strong smell of rotten eggs and exhaust manifold is glowing red hot

(most of my tools at work so cannot check plugs or compression until week)

Any suggestions most welcome.
