2005, Renault Laguna II 1.9 DCI sport

Hello,

I brought a Renault Laguna II today for cheap 96k miles full service history. looks great and drives great but has 2 problems.

1) when putting on full lock in any direction its clunking and on a full lock in any direction it seems like the wheels don't want to return to its straight position.

2) When revving the car a little or a lot doesn't matter its very slow returning back down. when driving and your in 1st gear and you put clutch in and select 2nd gear it's still high and you shoot forwards because the revs are still over 2000.

Can anyone please help me on these problems and maybe help me sort them.
