I have a 2003 IV Espace 2.2 dci. I have been experiencing the dreaded loss of power syndrome and decided to clean my
EGR valve. To do so I removed the silver aluminium pipe for ease of access and noticed that the bottom bolt on the front joint is much shorter than the other one and was only finger tight and it was very carbonised. Could this be part of the problem. Also the aluminium pipe although it has been blanked off has a hole in it and the previous owner simply covered it with a jubilee clip tightened, could this also be part of the problem. Please advise.
