syptoms were as follows roof warning on dash when button pressed to check roof op. nearside rear window would not drop other 3 did. removed window mechanism by removing rear seat and inner plastics to gain access to motor and regulator. (ie bit with all the wires and pulleys that holds glass) this is held in by 4 10mm bolts at top and 2 10mm nuts and bolts at bottom, it will just come out with roof down complete with glass be careful dont use screw drives on glass it will end badly.. with this out found cable was frayed inside pully block on end of motor,,, hmmm renault want £200 ish to replace all this,, i bought a kit £10.50 off ebay new cables and clips etc,, fitted this in a bout a hour now windows all go down perfect, roof then will fold back and next fault parcel shelf dont move, so search find cables have been pulled through the eyelets almost like they were to short,, after a hour of working out that on top of hinge for roof by the rear seats there is a 10mm square L-bracket that works off a cam to fold parcel shelf down both bent by about 10mm so missing the cam thus locking the mechanism in a jammed state while roof and boot lid move this then destroys the cables running on either side. new hinges are big bucks and massive job... so cure was to drill a 5mm hole through these 10mm square l-shaped guides and adjust them to take out bent bit,, works a treat now all in time and no warnings... the 2 cable from renault are £100 or more. ordered 2 push bike cables ends to replace the broken stripped plastic bit that were destroy by cams not ligned up correctly.... SO MY WORD OF WARNING WHEN PUTTING ROOF UP OR DOWN STOP CAR AND WATCH THE HOOD WORK AND IF IT SEEMS LIKE THE PARCEL SHELF DONT GO UNDER BOOT LID CORRECTLY THEN USE YOUR HAND TO HELP IT,, THIS WILL INSURE THAT THIS ISSUE OF DESTROYING PARCEL SHELF AND CABLES AND BENDING THE HINGES DONT HAPPEN TO YOU...
