I have recently purchased a 2008 Clio Dynamique with 16" Canasta alloys.
Car runs fine but the ride quality is surprisingly harsh, I have previously had a 2001 clio and the ride was like a "Big Car" ride. I had read that the ride quality was even better on the mark 3.
There is slight vibrations through the steering wheel. At slow speeds all is good but anything over 45 -50 and it's almost like running on flats. I can feel EVERYTHING in the road and the ride is quite crashy.
I can see on a recent receipt for new tyres from the previous owner that there is a buckle in the front wheels and also that ALL suspension bushes were perishing.
On the last MOT the following advisories were present:
Front Lower Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)
Play in steering rack inner joint(s)
Would the harsh ride be caused by the buckle or the suspension bushes or any of the advisories? I am trying to decide what to fix first.
