Hi all, it occurred to me that the common problem with the contacts problem may of been caused by 'man handling' when changing the bulb over time, I ordered a replacement off ebay and noticed the bulb had blown but had a 15cm white smd strip laying around unused, so, me being me, wired the strip to the contacts for the bulb then realized the contacts were sticking up.
A cigarette packet lid ripped and folded a few times gets the perfect edge for the led strip to stick to

As a bodge I have wired 2 of the same strips to the snapped contacts and they made the car light up like daylight but now I have this aswell and a switch from maplins which I intended to fit in the original as a replacement but this is a damn sight neater with the original switch working.
