Megane 3 no interior sounds, no right indicator, no DRLs

Hello guys,

I have a 2010 Megane 3 (3dr) 1.6 110hp and up until recently it has been dead reliable. My latest problems are:

1) There is no "interior sounds". So when I use my indicators, there is no clicking - if I forget my seatbelt, there is no chime (however the light still comes on, so I guess the connector is fine). Radio works.
2) Front right indicator doesn't work. I thought this would be an easy fix - just replace the bulb - however I tried 2 different (brand new) pairs and there...

hi, I have fitted new springs/struts/top mounting/also drop link arms, on my 2010 magane mk3, is there a there a left/ right fitting, since fitting these new parts the car is pulling to the nearside, I had the suspension parts assembled by a local garage to make sure it was put together correctly I also got the tracking done as I was told putting new suspension on altered the tracking and after all this the car is still pulling to one side. help!

Kadjar has been into Renault as the auto light system does not work. Must point out that when I got the car, all lights were incorrectly adjusted- now rectified by Renault. Stop start

Car was standing for 1 week whilst away on holiday. I started it up and warning came up to check start stop. I have had the car checked on sure track computer,and came up configuration error (0048), circuit malfunction (0049) and Battery replacement required (0034). Could not clear the fault messages and battery was checked and still good at 300 amp. Does it require new battery ?

Is this anything to worry about at all?

I was driving along a motorway earlier & the road surface was really bumpy so a lot of vibration was going through the car for several miles (the road was being prepped for resurface so it was a terrible surface to drive on but you cannot do a U turn can you!). This warning light came on a few times then went off. On my return home drive of about 85 miles it never came on once.

Hi, I have a 2012 Renault Megane Hatchback (BZ0C) Expression trim level, with a 1.5 litre 66kW/90bhp engine (I believe the engine code is K9K 834, could be wrong) and a 5 speed manual transmission. I need to replace my clutch soon but I need to know if my flywheel also needs to be replaced. Does anybody know whether this engine uses a transmission with a solid flywheel or a dual mass flywheel? I have found similar numbers but without the B or without the MO4
I have searched around for other similarly powered relays but all have been different sizes.

I've a Thalia 1 (a sedan Clio MK2).
Recently, a problem started arising that the key didn't return from ignition and had to be turned back manually.
Now since today, the key doesn't go into ignite at all, I can turn it to the part where dash lights all light up, but from there, there's quite a bit of resistance and I can't turn the car on.

What is replaceable on that car, should I start searching for a new ignition barrel? I have both of my keys, so if I were to swap out the barrel...

Hi all, I'm having a problem with misfires, I have a 2010 meg 3 1.4 tce, with torque running and watching misfires I'm getting anything from 1-10 misfires on each cylinder from cold start up, wether at idle or pottering around, once warmed up if I restart the car I may get only 1 or 2 misfires. I have a little problem with my Lag's heating system.
With the climate controls for both driver and passenger up to max (26) the car did not seem to be too warm.

It was then i discovered that the passenger side is blowing cold (ambient i think) air into the car instead of warm. In addition to this i really don't think the drivers side is hot enough; it is comfortable-ish but certainly not as hot as other cars i have driven in the past.

i've got a scenic 2 dynamique from 2008, that has both a cruise control check and the brake light not working. it shows an electrical fault on the dashboard. I suppose this is the brake light switch since it controls both things.
i brought down the lower panel below the steering wheel, but impossible to spot the BLS! i can clearly see the clutch ones (2 of them) but none for the brake.

I started the car and drove off this morning, still while cold at around 30-50 km/h there was a loss of power that came and went intermittentley.
The car did not run rough like it was running on 3 cylinders. It was more of just a drop in effect. The "service" light came on, and the text "check injector" was displayed.

At 115,000km and 6 yrs old, I replaced 1 injector after it became faulty.

2017 Trafic Business Radio query

Afternoon all, just after a bit of advice on my new (to me) 2017 Renault Trafic Business. It has the FM/DAB radio and I've set the presets on DAB and FM. I mostly listen to BBC 6 Music on DAB but each time I get in the van and start it, it has reverted to BBC Radio 2 FM. Is there any way of setting the radio so it comes on with the station I want to listen to or do I just have to put up with changing the band and station each time I start up? There's only so much of Steve Wright's voice...

Hi there guys! I found the forum while I was browsing the net for a solution to my wifes Clio problem Unfortunately no luck as yet.

It's a 1.4 V Reg Clio Alize (sp?) and it doesn't like filling up with fuel! every time we take it to fill up it has to be filled really slowly, and even then it just keep bubbling up the filler pipe and making the pump click off. Managed to get 21 litres in yesterday before the pump timed out, then had to pay and proceed to fill up again to get the tank full...

My diesel trafic has started rattling on acceleration in the mornings when pulling away. Disappears when depressing the clutch and as it gets warm. No loss of power/smoke. Only when I pull away not if I rev standing still. Could it be clutch related? Or any other ideas?

Could someone advise me on the spark plugs advised torque. And also the torque of securing bolt holding pencil coils in place.

Possible brake/clutch fluid leak?

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all doing well during these uneasy times.

I have identified a leak coming from under the brake fluid reservoir. It's extremely slow and not actually effecting the usage of the car at all but would still like to get on top of it. Looking at the location of the leak it appears if something has either fallen off, not been placed back on or a seal has given in. I've attached the best picture I was able take of this.

I've looked in my car book but it doesn't show anything.

I have this really annoying sound when turning the steering and want to see if this might fix it and well I don't think I've ever topped it up.

master crankshft seal

I have a 2009 master 2.5dci g9u 650
After losing a lot of oil out of the crankshaft (timing side) I've just went to replace it and found it to be seriously chewed by the sprocket.
I've put the new one in and there is nothing to stop it going in too far I would think, I couldn't get it to stop at the edge because of the chamfered edge and wouldn't stay even.

Should there be a washer or something to limit how far it goes in?

Renault Grand Scenic 2011 1.5Dci So the reverse light is not working. It's not the bulb or fuse. I have located the problem to be a broken wire. This plugs into the bulb holder. I have followed the loom to see where it goes and it seems to connect to the fog light on the right hand side of the vehicle. I have just brought a Scenic 2 1.9 dci 2007 non runner. It will not start, Turns but will not fire up.

Previous owner took Car to a garage car was smoking, he was told its the Engine, he had the glow plugs changed, piston done and seals.
It started up once all that was done but still smoked. He took it to another Garage and they told him that it is the Turbo, he had that replaced.
Once all back together, he ran the car or an hour and then it stopped running, he tried to start...

Hello,

I have an old Clio II and its front seats have a lot of play and are pretty uncomfortable in my opinion. Would it be possible to swap them for the leather Clio II RS ones? I noticed that both cars have 99% of the same interior, so interior space would not be modified, but I'm concerned if the floor mounting rails from the old seats would fit the RS ones.

I don't know if it's relevant, but I have the Eastern European version, called Symbol, which is a Clio II 5 doors sedan.

Hi all. I have a 2014 mk3 Grand Scenic with the 1.5dCi 110 engine which has done about 120k miles. I have a loss of power and these 3 persistent fault codes which I can't clear - P1453, P1484, P1496. Also got the "check injection/check anti pollution" messages on the dash and the cruise control/speed limiter don't work.

So far i have replaced air, oil, fuel filters and EGR valve. After cleaning out the original EGR last week, I had much improved performance, almost like it should be...

2010 Fluence Issue's

I've just purchased a 2010 Fluence 1.5DCI manual with 170,000km and I've a few issues.

Cruise control is not working. No light when ignition turns on and all other lights are shown, no light when switched on via the cruise/limiter button. Diagnostic shows 2 front wheel speed sensors which may be the cause but the light is never on even on ignition startup?

I recently had major repairs done on my Grand Scenic (y 2012, k9k 636 engine) after pretty bad collision.
After repairs were done, I found one black, hard plastic hose about 6-7 mm in outer diameter long bout 70 cm, lodged between all other hoses between engine and radiator. It was not connected on either end. See pictures. I did not know where it belongs. In the meantime I found one other Grand Scenic and found that hose just under oil dipstick hose.

Had a new clutch and flywheel fitted and when I came to pick the car up the Automatic handbrake is not releasing, when I say not releasing it will when moving forwards but it’s not has smooth has it was before and now it feels like a tug (for a better word) then the car moves of. Hi all, first post. I'm looking at a 2008 laguna 2.0 dci as I need a new car.
The one I have just viewed is virtually immaculate with only 68000 on the clock, drives superb with no issues regarding power but the check injection light comes on and goes off again randomly. It will come on for seemingly no reason then once the car reaches a decent amount of revs it will go off.

Seller says it's been happening for a while, sometimes it doesn't come on for days.

Top end knocking for 5seconds after start

On startup has a horrid top end knocking/bearing noise (sounds like a bag of bolts) that lasts for about 5 seconds then disappears. Then runs lovely no problems. Doesn’t happen every time, can go away for a week then it’s back again. Usually when engine is cold. Has now started to need a bit of throttle on startup. Any ideas anyone. Please 🙏
It’s done 70,000 and I’m just about to have full service and cam belt change so want it sorted at the same time.

Wonder if anyone can help. Recently purchased a 2018 Megane. Every time I Stop for petrol etc If the dog is in the car after a minute or so the alarm will go off. I can’t even leave it unlocked as I have one of the cards (key) Which automatically locks it when I go to pay for petrol.

Clio lll 2006. My keys will start the car, open the car doors, but will not lock the car. I have to lock the car from inside by holding in the lock button on the dash until it clicks once, then the drivers side will lock when closed. When I try to the lock the car with the key - it clicks twice, it seems to lock, then open again.

Brakes are locked. No bucket lift or tilt.
All lights come on. Start engine and runs a few minutes then shuts down. Belt is tight and pully key is not sheared. New battery. All fuses good.
Only thing i have noticed is the green wire from main controller supplying voltage to valve coil is 5 volts....

Grand Espace seat not locking in place.

Hi. I removed a rear seat from my grand espace and when I put it back into the rails it will not lock into place. It just rolls back Abe forward. i have a megane 1999 1.6 petrol.

there is no power to the fuel pump, it has fuel in it and i have tried the reset button in the engine bay. it all lights up as it should and turns over.

it has 2 cables powering the fuel pump one black and one white. which is the positive?

i have bridged the fuel pump relay under the bonet and the fuel pump works but constantly .

is there anyway to reset the fuel system? otherwise can i bypass it, powering the pump direct?

I have recently purchased a 2007 Kangoo 1.6 16v as a second/dogsbody car. It appears to be in good order but I have a somewhat puzzling issue. Not long after I got it I noticed the temp gauge would rarely go up to four bars, which according to the handbook is normal, but instead would remain at only two bars. This would happen regardless of length of journey. Very occasionally, if I stopped at lights, it would jump up to four bars before dropping...

2 Week Old Clio losses its Sat. Navigation

Hi, we have recently bought a brand new Clio with Sat. Navigation. My wife uses the car to work and came home this week and told me that her Bluetooth connection had lost her phone. Also the clock was incorrect and the Sat.Nav would not come on. So out I go to the car to find the clock cannot be put correct due to the GPS not working. And sat Nav won't go past the "I agree" screen which you have to confirm before accessing the Nav.

Auto Hand Brake issues

My 07 Auto Renault Grand Espace Dynamic is displaying a Brake Fault to the Handbrake. The message remains constant, although the car drives all as normal. Can Brake and return into park position, but warning remains. I have had diagnostics from a local garage and their advice is that a Replacement unit is required at a cost of £1100 + and Labour of around £300 !!! Do you think this is a correct Diagnosis ?

2010 renault megane MK3 radio replacement

Hello.
My car has carminat tomtom and radio withou bluetooth, i want to replace it for another with bluetooth (but original radio), so i can connect my cell and answer calls and hear music fron my cell. I bought from 2nd hand parts store, with original code.
The 2nd hand radio came from a car without tomtom carminat (it had a standard LCD), part 28 115 9389R . I connect to my car, but monitor does not light up (stays black). What can i do?

I want to change my stereo system n my espace (lost code etc)
the connector for the renault stereo is obscure etc and I’ve already spoke to someone at Connects2 who advised to locate the iso connectors.

Espace MkiV - heater blower problem

Hi there!

Hope everyone is keeping safe in these unusual times.

The heater blower in our Espace will run for a couple of seconds and then stop. It might run again 10 minutes later, only for a few seconds, or it might not!

Would anyone be able to advise if this is a blower issue or a controller issue?

2012 Koleos CVT fluid filter

Yesterday I stupidly drained all the CVT fluid instead of the engin oil from my 2012 Koleos 2.5lt petrol. Dumb move I know (never trust me to service your car). The drained CVT fluid is now tainted (I had debris in it from the oil collection pan) so I will need to refill with new fluid. While I am at it, are there any filters I might as well change in the CVT transmission or is there no filters in it? Do I simply refill with fresh CVT fluid? I emptied out about 10lt of fluid. 2010 Fluence Issue's

I've just purchased a 2010 Fluence 1.5DCI manual with 170,000km and I've a few issues.

Cruise control is not working. No light when ignition turns on and all other lights are shown, no light when switched on via the cruise/limiter button. Diagnostic shows 2 front wheel speed sensors which may be the cause but the light is never on even on ignition startup?

Got a question for all you learned members.
Hopefully a solution to this problem can be resolved.
Reanault Master, 2.5 , 120 dti, 2007 model. G9uc 754 engine.
Replaced rear main oil seal when replacing clutch and pressure plate as well as concentric slave cylinder as well as pilot bearing.
Replaced main oil seal with a original quality from the Dealership . Fitted it and put it in flush against the engine. Exact same position as it had came out...

Megane Mk3 Aircon slow leak

We have a GT220 2015 Megane that over tthe past year the aircon stopped working. It spent a couple of months with a hissing/bubbling sound coming from the back of the dash when it was in use, then stopped.
A regas and leak test at Kwikfit this June saw it working OK for a couple of months then it started hissing again and today is barely cooling the air.

Any advice on hwere to look or what the problem might be as I don't want to pay for another regas yet. Guess their leak test wasn't good...

I know this has been done to death but I can’t find any pictures to confirm I am going mad or not! I have a Y reg 2001 1.2 16V Clio. The speedo starts off about 50 (it varies). Being a 2001 I merrily bought a new sensor for it. However, I cannot find the old sensor anywhere. There are sensors on the hubs that could be ABS sensors (but I didn’t think the 2001 had ABS and neither is there any reference to it on the dash) And there are no fault lights on and no error codes in the ECU...

Does anybody know how I can get my Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) reset?

I have a Clio IV with a Tce 90 engine (H4b 408), I have fitted the car with an LPG kit (Vialle Liquid SI).

Since the car has been adapted to run on LPG it was not running as smoothly as it does on petrol. I took it to the LPG installer a couple of times and they have tweaked and "solved" most of the problems.

But from time to time I still feel some engine hesitation while running on LPG, so I decided to took some...

At the last MOT the examiner commented on a noise from the o/s front strut when the steering was moved from side to side. As it was going to be dry this weekend I thought it would be a good idea to replace the strut top mount and bearing. And a fairly simple job became a major timewaster when the pinch bolt securing the shock absorber to the hub sheared after coming out about 10mm.

I should be able to remove it by drilling it out but I have been unable to find an online supplier to source...

Hi. I’ve been told my Vivaro 08 has the Renault engine.
in short van went off road as it broke down and wouldn’t start. Took to a garage. They changed one of the Injectors. Drove ok ish. But lacked power and smoked. This van had always been powerful and never smoked.
I have had the turbo refurbished professionally. And it still smokes bad.
changed glow plug relay. Turbo selonoid and map sensor. Still smokes and lack of power. Had diagnostic done no faults shown.
at my wits end now. Please help.

I started the car and drove off this morning, still while cold at around 30-50 km/h there was a loss of power that came and went intermittentley.
The car did not run rough like it was running on 3 cylinders. It was more of just a drop in effect. The "service" light came on, and the text "check injector" was displayed.

At 115,000km and 6 yrs old, I replaced 1 injector after it became faulty.
At 116,000km a second injector...

Megane Audio Unit Has No Power

I have a 2015 Megane GT Line. The audio unit has lost power and will not switch on. As the power button also switches on the touchscreen for the R-link system, I have no SatNav, audio, or Bluetooth facility. It’s currentry booked into my local Renault dealer at the end of September but this is a last resort. Any help is appreciated.

I have just brought a Scenic 2 1.9 dci 2007 non runner. It will not start, Turns but will not fire up.

Previous owner took Car to a garage car was smoking, he was told its the Engine, he had the glow plugs changed, piston done and seals.
It started up once all that was done but still smoked. He took it to another Garage and they told him that it is the Turbo, he had that replaced.
Once all back together, he ran the car or an hour and then it stopped running, he tried to start...

Hi, I have a 2012 1.5 diesel scenic, the climate control is blowing warmer on one side, I set both sides to LO but the Drivers side is blowing air but warmer than the passenger side, I know that it has recently had a new compressor around 3 months ago.

I have a 2011 mk3 grand scenic, its showing on diagnostic test bad earth /short on auto gearbox, symptoms are when cold auto gearbox is fine, after a few miles( warmed up) will only allow use of semi gearbox ( manual), anybody had this same problem? Cruise control works fine though

Battery flat - can’t find +/- clamps

I did have a quick search but suspect it’s such a stupid question that maybe no-one has asked before. My daughters 2008 Twingo seemingly has a flat battery this morning. We have a trickle charger so was planning to charge all day and see if that made any difference.

However, having removed the battery cover am struggling to locate him the +/- clamps - unlike any battery I’ve seen before. Any news where these may be located?
