2016 Clio service light won’t reset

im after some help I brought a 2016 plate Clio and I’m having trouble getting the service light reset. It’s had a oil and oil filter change and the garage was having trouble resetting the service light, on two separate occasions and they are stating that I need to talk to Renault for them to reset the light,I have spoke to Renault and there saying that they won’t simply turn off the light stating that it’s not there policy??
