Worried!

The 59 reg 1.5dci 86 megane I purchased recently has a worrying symptom which I have so far been attributing to cold engine starts: engaging 1st gear and 2nd sends a shudder through the engine/gearbox and I find it struggling to get into gear. I have tried increasing the throttle but it doesn't help much.
This isn't regular, but happens with a frequency of approximately once every four or five days. It is, of course, most seen on a cold morning.
Additionally, I have noticed something else which is difficult for me to explain in words, but I shall try: When the car is being driven (in any gear except 1st), if I lift my foot off the accelerator pedal, I can feel the gear shift lever move a fraction of an inch and similarly the minute I press down on the accelerator pedal, the gear lever again moves a fraction of an inch in the opposite direction. It isnt easy to see, but I can feel it move in my hand as I drive.

Does anyone have an idea what these signs may indicate??

I've booked it in with the dealership for a check up, but that will only be in January 2016. I'm particularly anxious since the car came with a 3 month warranty which will end by the 1st of January 2016.
