Renault Clio 1.2 8V Leak
Hi my name is Mudassar and I am a new member here can't open a new thread in the clio section for some reason so thought this may be the best discussion board as i have a leak. My car is a 2002 Renault Clio 1.2 8v with 120,000 miles. I am impressed with the car the fuel and general runnings of it. Just one or two things that bug me but nothing major for the car of its age. I do however have a leak i will post pictures to follow, my car does not have a sunroof. I expected it to be the eft corner seal as it was a little open compared to the other one. I realised this when someone mentioned it looks like there is a lot of condensation i didn't pay any attention by the way the car is currently parked up. With recent weather the rain has been frequent and strong winds. I opened the car as i normal do to start her up. I noticed mould everywhere on the seats steering wheel and the floor. Inside top left corner i noticed a wet patch. The floor to the passenger side was also heavily wet. I tested the leak to find out where it is so on a dry day i got my hose and my uncle spent 20 mins inside inspecting any water to come in. After 20 mins or so we realised that the wet patch as getting bigger on the top left corner and it was dripping through just getting bigger in size. So i feel i have found the leak the corner part where the seal is open makes sense. Right now currently aimed an industrial heater at both corners and its drying up niceley. My next step is to use a heat gun glue i will post pictures, any advice will be welcome has anyone attempted to do this themselves? am i best going to a garage? i hope the following images are helpful and look forward to everyones reply. Thanks
