It failed the MOT today with "n 'fuel system component leaking - front'" ....they weren't any more specific about where from (as that would need them to start investigating), but the examiner said quote "It's ****ing out" ...so should be easy to find once covers are removed!
I can't be 100% sure, but this might have happened as I drove through a ford (road going through a small stream) at high speed several times to entertain my kids ("Did you see that wake?!")...but it may not have.
So I'm left with the dilemna of where to start....I seek the lowest hanging fruit (from an ease of finding vs. work involved to find!)....any top tips?
Straigjht out the blocks I wanted to remove the top plastic engine cover, but it doesn't look that easy to remove (mine is a 2006 grand scenic 106 1.5dci)....how is the plastic cover removed to eyeball the injecors & associated pipes? (I'm sure it's simple, but I guess you've got to know how!)
Also if it's not that, where else at the 'front' of the car would be a strong contender for diesel leakage.
