Hello,
Thank you for trying to help out with this.
I have a Clio II 2002 diesel. On about half the trips
suddenly I lose acceleration to a crawl and the electrical warning light comes on intermittently. It temporarily seems like it switches to a "limp home mode" but if floor the accelerator and switch gears it comes back to life. It has never stalled out. Before I go crazy and start changing and looking for everything, could someone please make a most likely solution suggestion? Thank you again.
potential problems:
ECU Black Box behind engine – replace wires? Goes into limp home mode
Clean any or which connections?
Wiring loom – worn wires
accelerator Throttle potentiometer
TDC sensor
Fuel injector problem
Coil ?
EGR valve
