ive got a 1.9dci renault scenic. got it from my wife's grandmother when her other half passed away with cancer the idea is that i use the car until my wife passes her test and she then uses it and i get myself another ford. the car was stud for over 12 months and i had an mot thrown on it but it seems like every time i fix one problem another one occurs.
such as: i bought everything to do the cam belt, water pump, aux belt, damper pulley ect ect and the cam belt snaps 2 days before its done and costs an extra £300+ to get it fixed after bending 2 valves.
to date ive fixed countless jobs and have more to do
have a solid flywheel, new cluth and slave ready to be fitted at the same time fitting polyurethane arb bushes and polyurethane wishbone bushes
new turbo oil feed pipe o rings
suspension top mounts
wishbone ball joints
track rods
drop links
discs and pads front and back
already fitted
rear gas struts
new turbo (**** of a job)
thermostat
water pump
cam belt and tensioner
aux belt and tensioner with shorter belt and 6 teeth instead of 7
scenic I damper pulley
full head gasket set with 2 new valves and 8 new oil seals.
full service
reversing sensors
dash cam
tow bar
centre console
spraypainted all the gray crappy plastics, scratched handles, grilles, badges and alloys in gloss black
also fitting (just because i can)
cruise control (ongoing progress sourcing wiring diagram)
boot lip/spoiler
performance tuning chip
tinting the windows all round
hid's (maybe)
light tinting film
got alot on my plate with this one and tbh i usually play with fords mainly being puma's (building a 700kg supercharged track car) the scenic will be the one towing the puma so i do need to make sure its tip top and even more so as my wife and 2 kids are going to be driven around in the car so on expense spared.
i may need to ask a few questions in the near future, mainly to do with the face everything and i mean EVERYTHING! is electric on the scenic.
cheers kieran
