Can you try this method to check your mounts..............................
Stand at the side of the car ( DONT stand at the front at any time doing this test), get your wife to put the handbrake on, put the car in reverse and slowly lift off the clutch until your wife reaches the clutch bite, then dip the clutch and back up to the bite, the engine will rock backwards and forwards when it is done right, then do the same in first gear, this will show you how much movement is in the engine/gearbox mount, see if this shows you any more movement, than trying to physically move the engine against the mounts
