The man down the road from me has a Renault R8 a 1960s rear engine four door saloon in his garage gathering dust. That got me thinking when we were in Germany with the RAF a lot of service men bought VW Beetles and Renault Dauphines. They would buy right hand drive cars on HP and when they were posted back to UK after two years no purchase tax was payable. My Dad bought a Standard Vangard Vingali in Germany in 1959 I realy loved that car it was the first of what people called modern shaped, three box, cars.

Currently in PrimaClio's garage:
1996 Renault Clio Prima RL 3 door.
