Laguna 2 Estate - Central locking will not lock doors.

Hi everyone,

My first post on here (hope this is the right place!?), recently acquired a 2001 Laguna Estate 1.8.

Had the usual water leak via the sunroof, down the pillar and across the fusebox. Now, it had been leaking a while but not too badly as was garaged most of the time (mother in laws car). One afternoon, in heavy rain, it decided to flood the footwells and killed everything, except the alarm (set it off opening the car thru the passenger door after disconnecting battery).

Now, within 10 mins or so, everything worked fine again. Cleared the drains and no longer leaks, however, will now not lock. At all.

It unlocks fine, via either remote or interior button on the centre console, but the locks will not fire. It did lock fine prior to this happening. Key card works fine, the interior button works (as when held it beeps after 5 secs but still wont lock), but the alarm and locks won't set. Getting to be a pain walking around the car and manually locking them!

Is there a relay or fuse that would cause this? Or a sensor, ie. door or bonnet sensor? Clicks when unlocked but no sound when lock button is pressed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Getting to my wits end!
