My recently aquired 2004 Kangoo (5 seat) has a leak coming in somewhere from the roof.
It doesn't have a sunroof so the only possibilities are the two join seams on the sides of the roof panel or the roof rail fixed point fixings / bolt holes.
The water drips on the inside from the plastic strip covering the interior roof lining joins above the front seats. Some water has also found its way onto the strip shelf above the windscreen.
There is evidence that a previous owner has applied sealant to the exterior seam on the passenger side - so I want to check that and redo as a starter.
Two questions I need help with please:-
1) how do I remove and replace the plastic trim strips covering the exterior seams?
2) the roof rail fixing points - do the holes pass completely through the roof or are they blind (and couldn't therefore be the cause of the leak)?
